"He reminds me of the Prophet Amos, whom God appointed to tell the Israelites to stop letting the wealthiest few prosper at the hands of the poorest. This was not a popular message as it came at a time when Israel was doing fairly well. Amos also told them to prepare themselves for judgement, especially from a foreign nation."  -Matt Hardigree

In the words of Allan Hill himself,  "It's like having a farm with a roof over it, ya know?"

Habitat

[Chorus]

"We all got to have, a place where we come from
This place that we come from is called home
We set out on our travels, we do the best we can
We travel this big earth as we roam

We all got to have, a place where we come from
This place that we come from is called home
And even though we may love, this place on the map
Said it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at".

Lombard St. Portland, Or: The newest beer bus location in Portland, as of December 9th, 2011 is at Kruger's Farm on North Lombard and Burr. Don Kruger has his large farm stand there with a nice selection of fruits and veggies.  The school bus (with lounge inside accompanied by vintage vinyl records) will be pouring $4 dollar pints and filling growlers of fresh Captured by Porches brew for $9. You can purchase a new growler full of beer for $14.

I took advantage of the super bowl special $7 Growler fill-up myself last Sunday.  Flavor of the day:  Red Rye Ale.

Red Rye Ale: Brewed with a large amount of un-malted rye, this ale has a rich, full body, but is overall medium to light in color and flavor. Tettnanger hops, a Bavarian wheat yeast and rye combine to produce fruit filled, floral and spiced tones. One of our farmhouse ale series.
Oh and from St. Helen, OR 97051.
Fresh...Local...Sustainably home grown product rest next door (in St. Johns) along side a dank $6 Burrito trailer filled with the right ingredients. (http://krugersfarmmarket.com/home.html).

Natures Cure 02/02/2012

By my intimacy with nature I find myself withdrawn from man. My interest in the sun and the moon, in the morning and the evening, compels me to solitude.  Henry David Thoreau (Journal Entry, 1851)
