Well for the first time since the trade on Nov 4, 2008. The Detroit Pistons (minus Rasheed and Rip) met the Denver Nuggets (minus Carmelo) to duke it out in Denver. A lot of high hopes on both ends for this one and after catch up and all the hugs exchanged between players... business was business. Chauncey came out the gate in the 1st half playing his normal game and fired 20 points off like it was NBD! AI slow to bring it, came alive in the 2nd half when it was much needed making his impact on the game with 20. In the end the Pistons prevailed with the win down the stretch winning by three 93 to 90 with some clutch free throws added by A. Afflalo. Billups 30 points. Iverson 23 points. Check em' here http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1864272,00.html For all you non-hockey fans out there, the city of Chicago hosted a "back to the roots" outdoor Winter Classics game at Wrigley field between 'the Original 6' Detroit Red Wings (formerly the Cougars of 1926) and the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday. Talk about a new outlook on hockey... this game was full of excitement... with new atmosphere, throwback jerseys, and unusual seating arrangements for the onlookers who were fortunate to attend. After falling down 3 to 1 in the first period, the Wings pulled out the win with a stellar comeback. |
